Yellow Bull

Cultural Narrative:

Nez Perce Warrior, 1877. sáapsis ‘ilp’ílp (Red Moccasin Tops), son of Yellow Bull, also took part in the killings leading up to the Nez Perce War of 1877. Yellow Bull was opposed to the use of violence against white settlers. However, sáapsis ‘ilp’ílp (Red Moccasin Tops) and a few other young men proceeded to react forcefully to the aggressive behavior of the settlers.
